Founded in 1838 in Aÿ, Champagne Deutz is one of Champagne’s historic Grandes Marques, famed for wines of finesse, elegance and complexity. Deutz owns and sources from top crus across ~275 acres and ages its wines slowly in chalk cellars beneath the village of Aÿ. TASTING NOTES
Brilliant, intense gold with fine, persistent bubbles (extended lees ageing). A refined bouquet of hawthorn and white flowers evolves to toasted brioche, marzipan and ripe pear. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant: the freshness of Chardonnay woven with the richness of Pinot Noir, finishing rounded, fruity and precise. A superb non-vintage Champagne for both aperitif and the table.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect as an aperitif or with salmon, turbot, John Dory, poultry and other white meats. Also excellent for Champagne gifts and celebrations.
