Do you know what is good in a wine store? When you see and are shown wines you haven't seen before, such as this very good Parini Montelpuciano d'Abruzzo.
A very nice wine at a reasonable price.
I recently moved to the New Kings Road area in Parsons Green, so Friarwood Wines & Spirits is now my local wine store. The staff are more than welcoming and are real experts in wines and spirits, kind, friendly, knowledgeable, making it hard to leave the store. Love it, the personal & local touch makes a real difference. Michael
First time trying this wine and really enjoyed it after it had some time to air. We had it with a spaghetti bolognese and for the price, it was easy drinking but with lots of fruity qualities.
I recently had the pleasure of tasting this wine, and it truly delivered. You can definitely smell aromas of white peach and on the palate it is crisp and mineral.
We had this delicious Riesling to go with a cheese and charcuterie board and it did not disappoint. Great minerality and long finish, just what you'd expect from a Riesling but with more character and flavour than most others.
They have a fantastic range of great wines, especially the harder to find Burgundy and Bordeaux’s. Max has always been really helpful and I would recommend speaking to them about exactly what you’re looking for.
One of the best shops in Fulham. Excellent choice of Burgundy.
Excellent service and great range of quality wines in a full and fairly priced range. Always a pleasure to visit.
I thought this wine (recommended by Frank at my local Wimbledon store) was an easy drinking, enjoyable wine that was excellent value for money at ~£13. A number of friends at our function made positive remarks about the wine. The variation in quality at this price point is significant and so the recommendation was much appreciated.
First time we had this wine was in a Michelin star restaurant. Please remember to let it breathe before drinking. Price/quality ratio is really good
We had recently had a bottle of this wine at a restaurant, and loved it. The bottles from Friarwood were equally good - supple, with dark fruits and tobacco. Perfect with the lamb!
