ABOUT THE WINE
Founded in 1924 by Giovanni Scolaris, Villa Folini is a family-owned estate with nearly a century of winemaking history. The winery gained early recognition supplying wine to British and American soldiers during the post–World War II occupation of Italy. Today, the estate is led by third-generation winemaker Marco Scolaris, with all wines produced from estate-grown vineyards. This 2022 Prosecco Rosé DOC represents a fresh, vibrant expression of modern Italian sparkling wine.
TASTING NOTES
Lively and refreshing, with bright flavours of grapefruit, white peach, and subtle notes of red berries and strawberry. Crisp and elegant, this Prosecco Rosé delivers a delicate balance of citrus and fruit, with fine bubbles and a clean finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect as an apéritif, or served alongside light appetisers, fresh salads, or seafood canapés. A versatile choice for celebrations and warm-weather sipping.
FRIARWOOD SAYS
A recent addition to the Prosecco DOC, Rosé Prosecco must be made from a blend of at least 85% Glera and 10–15% Pinot Noir. This bottle is a textbook example — elegant, fruity, and effortlessly drinkable.
