ABOUT THE WINE

Founded in 1971, St. Francis Winery has become a benchmark for premium Sonoma County wines, reflecting the diversity of both mountain and valley vineyards across the region. Today, the estate is Certified Sustainable, and sources fruit from across Sonoma, including the Russian River Valley and old vine sites nurtured through decades-long partnerships. From volcanic soils to coastal-influenced vineyards, the estate showcases the region's incredible terroir. The 2021 St. Francis Chardonnay is a rich, balanced white that exemplifies the cool-climate expression of California’s most iconic white grape.

TASTING NOTES

Sourced from Sonoma’s coolest vineyards, where Pacific coastal fog preserves freshness, this Chardonnay delivers vibrant aromas of Fuji apple, pear, and melon, complemented by citrus zest. Oak ageing adds layers of sweetcorn, allspice, and a subtle yoghurt-like creaminess. The palate is silky, complex, and finishes with a decadent yet refreshing length.
