ABOUT THE WINE
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl, Gebrüder Nittnaus is one of Austria’s most respected family-owned wineries. With over 300 years of vineyard history and certified organic viticulture, the Nittnaus family cultivates 57 hectares across 70+ parcels in Gols, focusing primarily on indigenous red varieties. Now led by brothers Andreas and Hans Michael Nittnaus, the estate is known for producing terroir-driven wines with both elegance and authenticity.
The 2019 Zweigelt Goldberg Reserve is a premium, barrel-aged expression of Austria’s flagship red grape — bold, structured, and distinctly refined.
TASTING NOTES
Aged for 11 months in French barriques, this deep, dark-hued Zweigelt bursts with flavours of black cherry, lifted by bright acidity and subtle notes of cocoa dust. Luscious fruit and supple tannins lead to a lingering, polished finish, offering a superb balance between drinkability and depth.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with roast chicken, pork tenderloin, or herb-crusted turkey. Also a great match for mushroom risotto or dishes featuring mild spices and earthy flavours.

Zweigelt, a cross between Sankt-Laurent and Blaufränkisch, is often known for its easy-drinking style. But in the hands of Nittnaus, it becomes something more — a wine of substance, ageability, and undeniable charm.
