ABOUT THE WINE
Château La Lagune, a 3eme Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, is one of the top estates in the southern Médoc. With a winemaking history dating back to the 18th century, the estate spans over 80 hectares of gravelly soils ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Under the stewardship of Caroline Frey since 2004, La Lagune has embraced organic and biodynamic viticulture, producing wines with precision, elegance and ageing potential that often rival higher-ranked classed growths.
TASTING NOTES
The 2015 vintage is a standout, showing expressive aromas of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants, cedar, and sweet spice. On the palate, it's medium- to full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins, layered dark fruit, hints of mocha and violets, and a long, graceful finish. A classic Left Bank wine that balances richness and finesse beautifully.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with roast lamb, duck confit, venison, or beef Wellington. Also excellent with truffle risotto or hard cheeses like aged Comté or Manchego.

One of the most consistent and elegant wines in the Haut-Médoc, Château La Lagune 2015 is drinking beautifully now but will also reward further cellaring. A must-have for lovers of refined Bordeaux.
