ABOUT THE WINE
Founded in 1895, Cave de Ribeauvillé is the oldest wine cooperative in France and a pioneer in the Alsace region. Generations of winemakers have built a reputation for quality and consistency, preserving traditions while embracing innovation. The Collection Vendanges Manuelles range is crafted to highlight the diversity of Alsace grape varieties. This Gewürztraminer 2020 offers an expressive, terroir-driven style that celebrates the aromatic intensity and complexity the grape is known for.
TASTING NOTES
An intensely aromatic Alsace Gewürztraminer, with a powerful nose of lychee, exotic spices, and rose petals. The palate is full-bodied yet fresh, with a soft, supple attack and a lingering finish. A vibrant acidity brings balance and finesse. Best enjoyed young for maximum aromatics, but capable of ageing gracefully for 2–6 years.
FOOD PAIRING
Ideal with spicy cuisines such as Indian, Moroccan, or Mexican dishes. Also pairs beautifully with cooked fish, exotic recipes, soft cheeses, and even fruit-forward pastries. Serve chilled, between 8–10°C.
