ABOUT THE SPIRIT
Crafted by the renowned Gilbert Miclo Distillery in Alsace, this Grande Réserve Vieille Prune is a refined expression of aged plum eau-de-vie. Founded in 1965 by Gilbert Miclo—who took over his family’s business in 1962—the distillery quickly evolved from a wine and beer trading company into one of France’s most respected producers of fruit brandies. Their focus has always been on premium quality, using only the ripest, most flavourful fruit and time-honoured distillation methods.
TASTING NOTES
Elegant and intense, this eau-de-vie reveals the full aromatic depth of sun-ripened plums. Smooth and persistent on the palate, with notes of stewed fruit, dried apricot, soft baking spices, and a mellow warmth from extended ageing. The finish is clean, with hints of almond and sweet oak.
