ABOUT THE WINE
From Conti di San Bonifacio’s boutique estate in the Maremma hills, this Super-Tuscan red blends estate Sangiovese with select international varieties for poise and depth. 2015 was a standout Tuscan vintage – a warm, even season with cool nights – delivering superb ripeness, fine tannins and natural freshness. Low yields, careful selection and élevage guided by Luca d’Attoma keep the focus on fruit purity and the Monteregio terroir.
TASTING NOTES
Ripe red cherry and wild strawberry lead, layered with blueberry, violet, cocoa and sweet spice. Medium-to-full bodied, the palate is sleek and vibrant, showing juicy red/black fruits, a graphite–cedar undertone and savoury Mediterranean herb lift. Polished tannins and a bright, balanced acidity carry a long, clean finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Excellent with porcini risotto, pappardelle al ragù, herb-roasted pork or grilled lamb. For a classic Tuscan board, pair with aged Pecorino, prosciutto and finocchiona.
