Let customers speak for us
from 141 reviewsFirst time we had this wine was in a Michelin star restaurant. Please remember to let it breathe before drinking. Price/quality ratio is really good
We had recently had a bottle of this wine at a restaurant, and loved it. The bottles from Friarwood were equally good - supple, with dark fruits and tobacco. Perfect with the lamb!
Thanks for the bottles of Tar and Roses 2018 Shiraz, they arrived very quickly and well packaged, and the wines were superb.
Per Se Aperitivo is a delightful summer drink with aromatic notes of cardamom and orange. We enjoyed it on the rocks mixed with pink grapefruit soda, as recommended by Nelson Bernardes. His friendly service and excellent suggestions made our experience even better. Perfect for warm evenings and social gatherings!
I worked in a beautiful French restaurant in the Midlands years ago and Deutz was our house champagne, I always remember how gorgeous it was and now thrilled to have found it again 🥂
LOVED it, crisp and dry and too easy to drink on a warm summers evening!
Enjoyed this wine when I brought it over to a picnic last weekend. Super easy drinking, should have bought more.
Fabulous champagne personally delivered in luxury packaging by very pleasant chap in liveried van. Top notch service.
We went into friarwood looking for a nice rose wine. The store manager gave us a thorough lesson on what to look for and introduced us to No 7. We came back 3 days later and bought a case.
Great wine and super friendly. Interesting selection of English wines and excellent sparkling.
It is always a First Class experience. The advice, service and selection available is
exceptional and excellent. The shop is always very inviting with superb window displays. The email advice that comes through with suggestions for the season is most helpful. Top of the class, well done FriarWood . Timothy G Tucker
Friarwood Wines is a fantastic place to visit not only for the service but their service when I visited them they recommended to me for a party Per Se aperitivo and it has the authentic Portuguese sweet taste. Great quality and you do not need to finish the bottle. Highly recommended for an elegant dinner.
I was tasked to bring a white wine for a picnic and at some point it became the topic of the conversation. Very good value for money and very elegant.
Just had this for lunch, paired with salmon. Lovely, light and crispy, not too oaky, but still showing that burgundy, mellow character.
This wine was delicious and we served it chilled with a charcuterie board. Mineral flavours, you can definitely taste that it comes from a volcanic region like Sicily.
