ABOUT THE WINE
The Solar das Bouças estate, located in the heart of Portugal’s Vinho Verde region, has winemaking roots that trace back to the 17th century. Once in disrepair, the estate was revitalised by Albano Castro Sousa and later refined under the stewardship of the Van Zeller family (of Quinta do Noval fame). Now owned by an independent wine investment group led by António Ressurreiçáo, the property continues its legacy as a leading estate-bottled Vinho Verde producer. All grapes are grown exclusively on the estate, including premium Loureiro varietals — ensuring quality and terroir expression in every bottle.
TASTING NOTES
Light, crisp, and vibrantly aromatic, this 100% Loureiro Vinho Verde opens with notes of lemon peel, green apple blossom, and a gentle spritz. On the palate, expect flavours of nectarine, pear, citrus, and a touch of cut grass and mineral spice. Balanced acidity and a subtle effervescence make this an exceptionally refreshing summer white wine with elegance and finesse.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with fresh seafood — think lemon-squeezed oysters, grilled tuna, or zucchini fritters. Also excellent with smoked pulled pork tacos, ceviche, or light Mediterranean dishes.
