Spanning 54 hectares in a single sweep—with nearly a quarter deliberately left unplanted—Figeac is a true green oasis, championing biodiversity and thoughtful stewardship. Its terroir is a geological exception for the appellation: three deep gravel outcrops over blue clay create a patchwork of plots where, unusually for the Right Bank, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc take the lead, lending the wines freshness, structure and remarkable longevity.       I first tried this wine in Australia paired with fresh seafood. It was so crisp and tasty and memorable that I wanted to purchase it once I returned home. Still as enjoyable, best served ice cold.

      This is a lovely drinking wine from the LesClos Vessats vineyard. It balances citrus with some buttery richness and minerality from the clay limestone soils. It finishes smooth and is very versatile. We regularly enjoy this wine with white meats. It brings elegance to the dinner table!
