Our Sauvignon Blanc Recommendation
Get a taste of New Zealand with this delicious premium Sauvignon Blanc: Totara Premium Sauvignon Blanc.
Named after a towering native tree revered for its strength and durability, Totara Winery crafts wines from vineyards in some of the country's most diverse and challenging climates. The result is a wine with intense fruit flavours and aromas that will transport you to the rolling hillsides and glimmering lakes of Kiwi country. This Sauvignon Blanc has a bright acidity that pairs perfectly with spring favourites: chicken dishes and seafood. Enjoy!
Rosé
What says spring more than a glass of Rosé? This pink wine is perfect for picnics and outdoor gatherings. It's light and refreshing, with just a hint of sweetness.
Our Rosé recommendation
Our team have selected an easy-drinking, bright and light rosé: Domaine de la Croix Belle, Les Champs des Grillons Rosé.
If you're looking for something a bit more complex, try our Les Champs des Grillons Rosé, Languedoc. This wine is made with 100% Grenache Noir grapes and has been aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It's full-bodied and perfect for enjoying as an aperitif or with a springtime feast. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and spice; full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate. Pairs well with light finger foods and delicate seafood dishes. Not to mention its beautiful bottle - which will add an additional touch of sophistication to any dinner party or gathering.
Chardonnay
This classic white wine is perfect for spring celebrations. It has a rich, buttery flavour that pairs well with seafood or poultry dishes.
Our Chardonnay Recommendation
A perfect pale gold number: Tokar Estate Chardonnay
The Tokar Estate vineyard was planted in the late 1990s, in the heart of the Yarra Valley's 'golden mile', on Maddens Lane, Coldstream. It is a small boutique estate focusing on sustainable farming and quality wines.
This smooth and rich Chardonnay is perfect for enjoying with light classics - such as pan-fried fish and veal. Picked when the flavours are in the citrus to stone fruit spectrum and wild fermented in French oak (mostly 500L puncheons), this comes through in the wine, with a touch of oak, a buttery nose and notes of citrus and stone fruit.
Pinot Noir
This light-bodied red wine is perfect for spring evenings. This red wine is perfect for those looking for something a little bit heavier. It has hints of strawberry and cherry, making it the perfect pairing for springtime meals.
Our Pinot Noir Recommendation
Looking for an excellent Pinot Noir from Burgundy? Look no further than Domaine Nudant, Bourgogne Pinot Noir.
This wine is made by the Nudant family, who have been making wine in Burgundy since 1453! The grapes are grown in the village of Ladoix-Serrigny, and the wine has a lovely fresh fruit flavour with intense strawberry and cherry notes. It would be perfect served with grilled chicken or root vegetables.
Riesling
This versatile white wine is perfect for springtime sipping. It can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a variety of dishes, from salads to seafood.
Our Riesling Recommendation
For a Spring Riesling that is sure to please, try: Cave de Ribeauville Riesling Collection Vendanges Manuelles
The Cave de Ribeauvillé is a pioneer in Alsace, creating their Riesling wine in 1895. Riesling is often called the 'king of Alsace' and this wine certainly does not disappoint, with its distinctive and harmonious aromas of lime and grapefruit. It has a long, beautifully persistent finish and just enough residual sugar to balance the bracing acidity. Enjoy this wine with seafood, appetisers with crudités and canapes, or even on its own!
