ABOUT THE WINE

Garrus is the crown jewel of Château d'Esclans and one of the world’s most prestigious rosé wines. First produced in 2006 by Sacha Lichine, Garrus redefined what a rosé could be—powerful, age-worthy, and layered with complexity akin to fine white Burgundy or Grand Cru Champagne.

Crafted from 80-year-old Grenache vines and Rolle (Vermentino), the 2022 vintage is barrel-fermented and aged in large French oak barrels using bâtonnage to enhance richness and structure. As always, only the finest free-run juice is used, ensuring precision and elegance in every bottle. 2022 saw a warm, dry growing season in Provence, resulting in exceptional concentration and freshness.

TASTING NOTES

Pale rose-gold in the glass, Garrus 2022 is strikingly elegant and expressive. Aromas of wild strawberries, orange blossom, white peach and toasted brioche unfold with aeration. On the palate, it's rich and textural, with a creamy mid-palate lifted by vibrant acidity. Subtle oak, spice and mineral tones lead to a long, poised finish that speaks to its pedigree. FOOD PAIRING

Garrus is a gastronomic wine of the highest calibre. Enjoy it with lobster tail, turbot in beurre blanc, saffron risotto or veal with morel cream sauce.
