ABOUT THE WINE
Founded in 1999 by Serafín and José Mari, Bodegas Torrederos sits in the heart of Ribera del Duero, farming over 100 hectares of Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) within a 5 km radius of the cellar for precision and consistency. The 2018 Crianza comes from a balanced, slightly cooler vintage that delivered ripe fruit with excellent natural freshness. Ageing: 12 months in oak (70% French, 30% American) before bottle refinement.
TASTING NOTES – 2018
Deep ruby. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and plum with hints of violet, balsamic spice, cocoa and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied and polished, marrying juicy black fruit with supple tannins and a lively acid line. Elegant, lingering finish with touches of vanilla, clove and graphite. Freshness and fruit purity meet well-judged oak.
FOOD PAIRING
Brilliant with grilled burgers, meat-lover’s pizza, smoky chorizo, BBQ ribs, lamb skewers, and aged Manchego.
