ABOUT THE WINE
Tenuta Fanti has been owned by the Fanti family since the early 18th century and is a long-standing reference point for quality wine, olive oil, and cereal production in Montalcino, Tuscany. Under the guidance of Filippo Fanti, with over 40 years of experience, and his daughter Elisa, who joined the family business in 2007, the estate continues to grow in prestige. The Fanti philosophy combines tradition, innovation, and a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture, resulting in wines that are both expressive and respectful of their environment.
TASTING NOTES
This 2021 Rosso di Montalcino displays an intense ruby red colour and enticing aromas of sour cherry, black mulberry, and sweet spice. White pepper and balsamic cedar wood notes add complexity to the nose. The palate follows through with lively acidity, balsamic tones, and ripe fruit flavours, balanced by well-integrated tannins and a long, mulberry-infused finish.
FOOD PAIRING
A versatile Tuscan red wine, perfect with grilled red meats, duck breast, wild mushrooms, and aged cheeses. It also pairs well with earthy pasta dishes and rustic Italian fare.
