Crafted by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), Les Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of the prestigious Château Rieussec, one of the leading producers in Sauternes. The 2019 vintage is produced from younger vines on the estate and follows the same meticulous harvesting practices, with grapes hand-picked at optimal ripeness to capture the delicate balance of sweetness and freshness. Aged in oak barrels, the wine reflects the estate's commitment to quality while offering a more approachable expression of Sauternes.
TASTING NOTES
The 2019 Les Carmes de Rieussec opens with expressive notes of candied apricot, citrus zest, and white peach, lifted by floral undertones and a delicate hint of honey. On the palate, it is rich and rounded yet beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity, leading to a fresh and elegant finish.
FOOD PAIRING
