ABOUT THE WINE Telish winery was built in the late 1960's but was a state-owned monopoly until recently, when it was bought in 1999 by Jair Agopian. His main focus is on producing complex, high quality wines. Telish winery can be considered as a leader of the new image of Bulgarian wines. Michel Rolland is the exclusive winemaking-consultant for this estate.
TASTING NOTES Bright, transparent colour with pale straw nuance. Juicy and attractive, the nose is dominated by white fruits - pineapple, and grapefruit. The body is with medium structure, fresh and elegant with fruity finish and white pepper aftertaste. Well-structured.
FOOD PAIRING Good with salami and cold meat starters, as well as fish and chicken.

ABOUT THE WINE The Doublet family has been rooted in the vineyards of Bordeaux since the end of the 18th century when the chateau was re-designed after a Louisiana mansion. The property was once owned by the famous philosopher Montesquieu, who believed the wine helped to open his mind.
TASTING NOTES A refreshing, crisp dry white. Aromas of apple, pear and melon, with stronger notes of green apple and pear on the palate. Hints of matcha tea on the finish.
FOOD PAIRING Creamy dishes, spicy chicken and grilled white fish.
FRIARWOOD SAYS A fine example of inexpensive white Bordeaux.
