ABOUT THE WHISKY
Founded in 1812 Royal Brackla was the first Scotch to be awarded a Royal Warrant. Described as 'The King's Own Whisky', Royal Brackla is still made using traditional production techniques at their Cawder Estate in the Scottish Highlands. They take extra time (up to 80 hours!) at the fermentation stage to allow intriguing complexity and fruitiness to develop, while their impressively tall stills run at an unusually slow pace. This height increases the copper contact, reducing sulphur notes. It's finished in first-fill sherry casks and is a limited release of just over 1000 bottles.
