ABOUT THE WINE
The 2023 Domaine Saint Peyre Picpoul de Pinet hails from vineyards nestled along the Mediterranean coast of Southern France, between the historic fishing village of Sète and the charming town of Pézenas. The vines are planted on limestone-rich terraces known locally as “costières,” stretching from the garrigue countryside down to the sea. Picpoul is the grape, and Pinet refers to the village near the Bassin de Thau, a lagoon famous for its Bouzigues oysters—a classic pairing for this refreshing Languedoc white wine.
TASTING NOTES
Pale yellow with green reflections, this Picpoul de Pinet 2023 offers aromas of citrus, honeysuckle, and tropical fruits. The palate is light, crisp, and delicately fruity, with vibrant acidity and a clean, saline finish. An easy-drinking white that captures the essence of coastal southern France.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with seafood, especially oysters, mussels, or grilled fish. Also a great match for vegetarian dishes such as cauliflower and potato gratin with Gruyère cheese, or as a refreshing aperitif.
