ABOUT THE WINE
Created in 1895 by wine-growers from the town of Ribeauvillé, the Cave de Ribeauvillé - the oldest such cooperative in France - is something of a pioneer in Alsace. Its members own portions of some of the finest vineyards in the region, and their plots contribute to their exceptional range of wines. The Collection range aims to represent the classic Alsace grape varieties in wines which are flavourful and versatile, each with its own individual personality.
TASTING NOTES
Often called the 'king of Alsace', Riesling is the most respected grape variety in this region. Distinctive and harmonious aromas of lime and grapefruit give way to a lean minerality and a long, beautiful persistent finish. The wine retains just enough residual sugar to balance the bracing acidity and provide a very pleasant drinking experience.
FOOD PAIRING
Beautiful with seafood, appetisers with crudités and canapé; or on its own, paired with friends on a warm summer day.
