ABOUT THE WINE
Winemaking has been a tradition in the Charmond family for three generations, starting in 1950 with only few acres. Today, Philippe Charmond owns and cultivates 8ha in the villages of Vergisson, Davayé and Prissé. This terroir of the region is ideal for grape growing, with vines situated on south-east-facing slopes to catch the sun.
TASTING NOTES
A bright, fresh style of Mâcon, flavoursome and refreshing, with excellent poise and a long, rounded finish. No noticeable oak-character.
FOOD PAIRING
A great match with white fish; very easily enjoyed on its own.
FRIARWOOD SAYS
Great value from the southern part of Burgundy.
