ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Pierre Mayeul is the story of three old friends united by the same passion for Burgundy and with a shared goal to produce high-quality wines where each cuvee beautifully represents the individual terroir and 'climat' of each appellation. Each with a long history of Burgundian winemaking they vinify their wines in an old castle in Ladoix and age the wines in barrels in cellars that date back to the 17th Century situated in the very heart of Beaune.
The grapes are cold-soaked for 2 days, aged in 50% in French oak Barriques, with regular batonnage on the lees, and aged for 16 months.
TASTING NOTES
The wine shows reflections of white gold, and silver undertones. Perfumes of peach, vanilla pod, toasted almond, silex. Some slight oaky notes, and melted notes of soft spices. This opens to a lot of freshness, well-balanced acidity, and good roundness. The final is classy, well-surrounded texture, and a fresh lasting finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Pork cheeks in cider, poached fish, fresh goat cheese, a nice ribeye steak with ceps.

Orders of any value can be collected for free from either of our retail stores. Greater London next day deliveries will cost £10 for orders below £150 and are free above that.

All our shipments in mainland UK and Greater London are shipped next day. Cut off time for a next day delivery is 12PM. Next day is only available on working days. Shipment can be delayed because of external factors.
