ABOUT THE WINE
In September 1978, Chateau Dauzac was purchased by Felix Chatellier, who renovated the Medoc estate, restructuring the vineyard and wine making facilities. Andre Lurton agreed to take over and manage the Chateau Dauzac. In turn, Lurton also purchased 42% of the property. After twelve years, Andre Lurton stepped down in favor of his daughter, Christine Lurton de Caix, who took over running Chateau Dauzac.

TASTING NOTES
It gradually unveils attractive blackberry and subtle violet scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. There is an austere, serious edge to this wine, with its dark tannins and fine black-currant acidity. It is very structured and likely to age well.

FOOD PAIRING
It pairs deliciously with venison or pork chops grilled on the BBQ. Great also with meaty sauces and pasta.

FRIARWOOD SAYS
This Château is committed to help restore biodiversity in the region through its orchards and meadows. There is a particular emphasis on bees and in 2015 the estate and its bee-keepers produced the first harvest of acacia honey!
