ABOUT THE WINE
With gardens designed by André le Nôtre, the landscape architect who designed the gardens of Versailles, Suduiraut is an exceptionally beautiful château. The estate dates back to 1580, although the current château was rebuilt in the 17th Century by the Count Blaise de Suduiraut. The 92-hectare vineyard is laid out across gentle slopes above the Garonne, on rich soils which imbue the wine with superb complexity and depth.

TASTING NOTES
Relatively delicate for this estate; lemon, marmalade and a hint of spice on the nose. The palate is intense, richly-textured and very well-balanced. Poised and floral, with a herbal touch to the finish.

FOOD PAIRING
A relatively powerful Sauternes, ideal with foie gras or sweet, creamy deserts.

FRIARWOOD SAYS
The wines of Suduiraut always display exceptional ageing potential.
