ABOUT THE WINE
The Ferrari family has owned the winery Corte Aleardi since 1789. The property is in a state of slow but continuous evolution. The wines are produced in an enthusiastic and expert way, using the fruits of its vineyards that are situated in the classic Valpolicella area, in the village of St Ambrogio di Valpolicella and St Pietro Incariano. It is situated in the 15th century house with its own cellars and three hectares of vineyards. In the hilly region of Bure Alto, where the family have eight hectares of vines is where the best grapes are located. The range is increasingly focused on a market that demands an exceptionally high standard of wine.
Valpolicella doc classico superiore Montepala has a bright ruby red colour with a delicate and intense bouquet of plums, cherries and raspberries. It is medium bodied, harmonic, remarkably persistent and reasonably tannic.
Pairs well with a wide range of first courses as well as full-flavoured pasta and risotto dishes. Also enjoy with roasts such as veal, turkey and lamb, as well as with grilled meats such as barbecued chicken, steak or sausages. Excellent with mushrooms and hard and semi-hard cheeses.
This delicious wine is a fresher, more nuanced variation on the usual style of Valpolicella Ripasso. Still medium-bodied, it is very pleasant and smooth.
