The 2022 Parini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo comes from the heart of Abruzzo, a region in central Italy renowned for producing approachable, fruit-forward Italian red wines. Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, this vintage reflects the area's rolling hills and Mediterranean climate, which bring both ripeness and structure to the wine. Bright, lively, and easy to enjoy, it's an excellent introduction to one of Italy’s most popular red grape varieties — offering great value and broad appeal.
TASTING NOTES
This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2022 is deep ruby in colour, with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, smooth, and fruit-driven, featuring notes of dark berries, liquorice, and soft tannins. A whisper of earthiness on the finish adds complexity to this vibrant and balanced red.
FOOD PAIRING
A perfect match for pasta with tomato sauce, grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and classic Italian pizza. Also ideal with charcuterie boards or firm cheeses like Pecorino. Serve at 16–18°C for best enjoyment.
