ABOUT THE WHISKY
Dailuaine distillery takes its name from ‘dail uaine’ the word for green valley in Gaelic. Founded in 1853 by William MacKenzie, the distillery was the first distillery to be fitted with a pagoda roof. It was also a stop on the railway that ran across Speyside, ensuring the delivery of supplies to distilleries around the region.
An unctuous toffee and tropical fruit nose with toasted nuts and cocoa give way to a rounded coffee and orange peel chocolate palate with nutty notes. The finish is excellently long with sweet spices and citrus zest. An ultimate wintertime whisky, great for the holiday season.
