Zweigelt “Ried Luckenwald” 2022 · Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve (Austria)
100% Zweigelt from the single vineyard Ried Luckenwald on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. Sustainable, low-yield viticulture with cover-crops and careful canopy work ensures healthy, concentrated fruit. Fermented in stainless steel with a four-week maceration, completed malolactic in tank, then matured 12 months in barrique (partly new).
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep, dark ruby with purple highlights.
Nose: Multi-layered aromas of black cherry, wild forest berries and bittersweet chocolate.
Palate: Balanced and powerful—ripe black fruit wrapped in grippy yet velvety tannins; fine structure and freshness. Long finish with cocoa and spice. Cellaring potential: many years.
