ABOUT THE WINE
One of Burgundy's most famous producers - founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, the domaine passed to his son Jean-Marie in 1957 and then on to his grandson Christophe in the early 1990s. Their Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Clos St Denis place them among the greatest wineries in Burgundy.
TASTING NOTES
A spicy and floral nose consists with liqueur-like aromas of red berries with hints of wood and menthol. The wine is broad shouldered, powerful and fresh, with a firm finish packed with youthful austerity.
FRIARWOOD SAYS
One for ageing, with time needed for it's structure and tannins to mellow.
