ABOUT THE WINE

Located on a historic plateau near Aix-en-Provence, once an olive grove during the time of the Gauls and later settled by the Knights Templar, Domaine des Masques draws from centuries of heritage. The estate was revitalised in 2003 by Carl and Sophie Mestdagh, with vineyards planted in 1992 and cultivated according to organic farming principles. Under the guidance of renowned Rhône Valley winemaker Yves Cuilleron, the estate produces structured, expressive wines like this Syrah Cuvée Exception 2018, certified organic and crafted with precision.

TASTING NOTES

Destemmed and naturally fermented without pressing, this organic Syrah is full-bodied and intensely concentrated. Expect layers of blackcurrant, blackberry, and oak spice, with a rich, velvety texture. The finish reveals notes of white pepper, plum, and savoury complexity, aged in barrel for one year to enhance structure and depth.
