This is a tiny property located near Barbanne on the border of Pomerol. With a lot of good reasons, Lalande is definitely the up-and-coming area of Bordeaux, justifying the praises that it currently gets. And this property is a perfect example. With yields as low as 20hl/ha and oak ageing up to 18 months, the concentration is intense.
100% Merlot. The nose is oozing of chocolate, prunes and spicy notes, the palate is complex with bitter chocolate, black cherries and cinnamon characters. The finish is very long, soft but powerful.
