CHATEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU – 2eme CRU CLASSE
Ducru Beaucaillou was once part of the Beychevelle estate, but was separated in the 18th century, along with Branaire-Ducru. It quickly began to command higher prices than Beychevelle.
Ducru is known for it’s rich, complex, well structured palate, and it’s weight and length. The nose tends to be rich and cedary, with earthy hints and swet Cabernet notes. A classic Saint Julien, Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou punches well above it’s weight in terms of value for money.
