Chateau Boyd-Cantenac – 3eme Cru Classe
Boyd Canthenac produces well made wines, rich and supple in style, and certainly is worthy of its cru classification. The style is fairly by and tannic, surprising considering the comparative lightness of Chateau Pouget which the Guillemets also own.

The vines average about 35 years old and the wine is aged in about 60% new oak for 12-16 months. The approach of Guillemet is very traditional, as he as little time for, as he called it ‘le vinification voodoo’.
