Chateau Haut Brion, 1er Cru Classe

This was the first red Bordeaux to achieve name recognition outside France, astonishing England’s wine fanciers long before Lafite or Margaux landed at its ports.

In 1961 Jean-Bernard Delmas, the owner, created the remarkable cuvier, equipped with stainless-steel tanks of his own design making Haut-Brion the first major estate in Bordeaux to vinify in stainless steel.
