DOMAINE DE MONT-AURIOL
The Domaine de Mont Auriol vineyard covers just over 100 hectares planted along the low hills between Cap d’Agde and Beziers, facing south towards the Mediterranean which is just five miles away. The soil is a mix of stony clay and limestone. It benefits both from its southern exposure and proximity to the sea which in turn keeps it cool in summer and relatively warm in winter.
Fragrant aromas but somewhat lighter and drier than its more famous Rhône brothers (Condrieu and Chateau Grillet). Limes, honeysuckle and orange peel with a spicy tinge to the palate.
