18 acres of the very best vineyards surrounding Morey Saint Denis is the Grand Cru “Clos de Tart”. The monopoly of the Mommessin family, this prestigious estate has had only three owners in its 868 year history. The dark, chalky soils with a high proportion of clay give the wine it’s trademark finesse and balance. Stones throughout the ‘Clos’s’ soils are of benefit both by creating free drainage, whist surface stones heat up during the day, to then radiate heat to keep the vines warm during the night. The vineyard is renowned for its structured, powerful and elegant wines.

Raspberry fruit engages the nose with perfect harmony and precision. Rich and evolving on the palate with excellent texture and structure in the mouth. The wine shows immense balance and driving persistence.
