Chateau l'Angelus 2000 - Price on Application

Angelus is one of Saint Emilion's most important estates, and incorporateswhat used to be Chateau Mazerat into it's large holdings.

The wines are characterised by perfume and rich fruit. With ageing, the wine sheds its youthful austerity and develops great complexity, with often quite astonishing aromas of black fruit.

taking influence from Dominique lafon in Burgundy, the wine goes into oak as early as possible, and remains in barrique for up to 22 months - in between 95% and 100% new oak - a big change, as prior to 1980, no oak was used here.

A rewarding and fascinating wine with exceptionally interesting ageing potential.
