CHATEAU LASCOMBES - 2eme CRU CLASSE
The estate takes its name from the chevalier Antoine De Lascombes who owned the property. By 1855, a Mzle Hule was the proprietor, and in 1952 the property was sold to an American Investment company. Between then and 1971 the wineyards had dwindled in number, but the fortunes of Lascombes were reversed by Dominique Befve.
It is clear that Lascombes has improved considerably over the years, the wines are now more powerfull and structured and deliver greater concentration of flavour, whilst still managing to achieve the finesse which is the aim for every Margaux property.
