Chateau Cailleteau Bergeron

This estate has been family owned since 1933 and is now run by brother and sister team Marie-Pierre and Charles Dartier. Their small estate is only 40 hectares, 35ha of which is for red wine production.

The Chateau cellars were completely modernised in 2001, and both reds and whites are made in a modern approachable style.

A deep lively colour. Toasty bouquet with overtones of vanilla and black fruit. Rich, silky tannin on the palate, with an extremely long aftertaste. Predominantly Merlot with a splash of Cab Sauv and Malbec and one third new oak. Very approachable and well balanced.
