Legal age: In accordance with UK law when you place an order with Friarwood Limited you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
Quality Guarantee for Wines: We will provide a full refund if any wines turn out to be faulty. All refunds will be provided as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days of the agreement to refund. We may ask for the items to be returned for inspection at our cost.
Minimum order: There is no minimum order. Orders under £200 including VAT will incur a delivery charge of £15.00 including VAT.
Availability: All items are offered subject to availability. Where an item in unavailable an alternative of similar quality and price will be offered.
Vintages: Vintages are subject to change without notice, though due notice will be given where possible.
Prices: Prices are quoted inclusive of UK VAT and Duty at current rates and are subject to change without notice.
Receipt of orders: Receipt of orders will constitute acceptance of these terms.
Delivery: If a delivery time or date is quoted at any time by the vendor or it's delivery agents, the vendor shall incur no responsibility should such a delivery not take place at the quoted time or date. Time for the delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract.
Please note that at present, we are only able to fulfil orders for distribution within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Payment: Payment is due on order by cash/ cheque or credit / debit card. Cheques should be made payable to Friarwood Limited.
Claims for breakages or shortages: Carriers must be informed of breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. Friarwood must have confirmation of these breakages or shortages within 7 days of the delivery, either by telephone, e-mail or fax.
Cheques Returned: Cheques returned unpaid will be subject to a charge of £29.38 per presentation, inclusive of UK VAT.
Overdue Accounts: The vendor reserves the right to charge interest at 2.5% per month or part thereof on overdue accounts, calculated from the due date until the date full payment has been made.
Reservation of wines: Wines can only be held on reserve for customers if paid for in full. Paid reserves may be stored Duty Paid or Under Bond and will incur the following charges:
Initial documentation fee: £6.00 per case (one off charge) + VAT.
Rental per week: 0.14 pence per week or part thereof, payable in advance until the end of the calendar year, +VAT.
Maintenance charge: £4.00 per case per year, irrespective of when the wine enters into storage, +VAT
Delivery charge: Upon uplift from the warehouse a delivery charge will apply depending on the distance and size of order.
Title to the goods: Title to the goods remains with the vendor until such time as all goods supplied by the vendor to the purchaser are paid in full.
Cancellation: You have the right to cancel your order, for any reason, within 7 working days from the day you receive the goods. You will however have to pay the cost of returning the goods to us. We will refund the balance of your money within 30 days of any cancellation.
Statutory Rights: These terms do not affect your statutory rights if you are purchasing as a consumer.
Data Protection Act 1984: Friarwood is required to inform you we have recorded your name and address on our computer system for the sole purpose of sending you lists, statements and other information relating to our business. Your name and address will not be given to third parties.
You will only receive emails from us which update you with new wines and offers. These emails will not contain advertising or links to other websites. All emails will use the term "Friarwood" in the subject line and will be from a @friarwood.com email address. If you wish to be removed from these commercial communications then reply to us by putting delete in the subject line. You will be removed within 24 hours.
If another party contacts you using our name, or claiming association, please contact us.
Access to your information: If you wish to gain access to information held about you please contact us in writing at the Friarwood Wines address listed in the Contact section.
Sale of goods: When you place an order to purchase a product from Friarwood.com, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we dispatch the order. That acceptance will be complete at the time we physically send the order, at which time we will send a dispatch confirmation e-mail to you. If there any products on the order which are unavailable or inaccurately priced then we will notify you prior to dispatching the order, and these products do not form part of that contract
